This Bilingualism SIG meeting presents a summary of the most important aspects that should be considered in bilingual education programs in order to promote students’ linguistic and academic development, and builds background for the discussions to be held through the year in virtual and physical encounters of this SIG.
In this meeting we will promote a critical take on the actual state of bilingual schools and programs in Brazil and bring participants together in envisioning and planning possible paths in advancing the BE field in our country, outlining the key features for a successful bilingual education.
